    Default Ping issues

    Can we have the option to reduce the "quality" in AL setting like in a YouTube video for example you can adjust the quality to improve the in game loading speed/ping/latency?

    The ping spikes recently has been as debilitating as covid-19 as it's unpredictable and sometimes is okay sometimes it is not it has never happened this frequently prior to the 50 people in towns update. Maybe we can even try the 40 people in towns as suggested by a few to see if it improves.

    We had a quality option, but that forced us to make both a high quality and low quality version of all of the art. Unfortunately, due to time and team size constraints, for the past few years, we have only one version of the art, so we can't do this.

    However, in Settings | Battery/Frame Rate, there is a Pixel Double option which will allow you to reduce the resolution of the 3d-rendered scene. This may help.

    Hey asommer, appreciate the clarification. Thank you for your effort and sts team for making this awesome game, have been playing since 2014.

    I understand that the idea to increase the instance limit came from wanting to address this issue here (https://www.spacetimestudios.com/sho...ps-tiny-tweaks) where people can't travel to the city zone with the most players in it and have to travel back and forth until they find a crowded city.

    What was suggested originally was to allow players to easily identify which zone they are at by labelling the specific zone and players count with a subscript (zone 1 - 25/30, zone 2 - 15/30, zone 3 - 5/30 etc) so they know where they are teleported to.

    Can we perhaps try this instead of having to experiment which instance limit (30,40,50) doesn't cause significant lags/ping spikes?
