    Default Fair fight?

    What is your definition of a fair fight? And why do you believe what you believe? I wanna get some perspective here before I make another long and highly opinionated pvp thread.

    A fair fight relies solely on a combination of luck and skill, which I don't expect to have when I come into PvP. I'm fine in most instances, as long as it's not teaming. The only thing that really bugs me is when people take pride in killing someone with gear from 2 campaigns ahead (55 sewer twink vs a 61 dang twink for example), since regardless of your skill level, they need to overcome far less to win the fight.

    I mean, fair players are players (in my oppinion) that once they join a game they define it. They say 1 vs 1 or ffa. I also think a fair player gives a free when he or she or it kills someone not in their 1 on 1. That's fair. In FFA it all out. Rushing... It never ends well... For ME.

    It depends on what you consider "Fair" if you mean "Fair" by everyone has an equal oppurtunity then "fair" is strict 1v1's with all competitors fully charged and ready to go before each encounter.

    I think that should only be considered fair in "Cage Match" type games though. A "fair" free for all game is when each team has an equal number of players IMO. The same goes for CTF, Spawn Trapping is "Fair" it's a stradegy that each side can use to their advantage making it fit the definition above "an equal oppurtunity for everybody".

    I DISAGREE!

    3/1-2 not fair, in a 1v1 situation a person with 5-10 levels more should NOT ask a player to fight, and spawning. Other then that fair game... I don't even mind nature loving (tree hugging)

    Scratch my old opinion haha. There is no "Fair" in PvP, people are playing to win, they can fight dirty! There is no rule book! If you don't like it, you leave declaring defeat.

    Pvp is as fair as it gets. You ar standng in an arena you can choose to strike when you want. There is no catching someoe offgaurd or when theyre not ready. Do gladiators stand around talking in the arena?

    I'm bringing pvp back to how it used to be... Back when there was no 1v1 except locked games... When you enter a pvp expect to pvp... I hate how pvp has become like a chat room now.. So I'm with the FFA movement

    Let's quote a scene from the first pirates of the carribean:
    Will- I'd beat you in a fair fight.
    Jack- not much incentive for me to fight fair then is it.

    I know I'm in the minority here but I think everything is fair (teaming, rushing, etc). I think when you join an instance you should be ready to defend urself.

    Imo, that's why DL pvp is so much more fun than PL pvp. In pl there's too much, "go" "wait" "name ur target" wait for target to say go, then u say go, don't forget to let them buff first, everyone get out of the way so you don't accidently take or cause damage because that would be unfair, have a 1/2 sec fight, "gf" "gf", repeat. The descriptions I read when going in pvp says "3 vs 3" and has the word "team" in it. To me that says its supposed to be "3 vs 3" and not 3 separate "1 vs 1" and we are supposed to "team".

    From what I've read it seems the reason the majority gives for liking pvp the pl is because they want to see who is really the better player. I don't think you can determine the better player in this fashion tho. To me a big part of PL pvp is gear. We've seen here recently how irate players become when they fear that they may no longer have a founders helm or 3 pieces of elite equips advantage over others. I feel like the skill required in pl pvp is being rich enough to be able to afford gear, a sense of range and fast fingers to hit ur combo. In dl good equips are an advantage but I've seen level capped players with lesser gear be able to be really good pvpers because of their tactics. The dl style pvp relies on a different type of skill- being aware of ur surroundings (watching ur minimap to see where ur teammates are and if they are being attacked), keeping track of where ur opponents are and when to attack them, and working with your TEAM (who is guarding flag, have someone go in and weaken opponents, have someone grab flag then an escort back, etc)- after all it is a TEAM game, right?

    That's just my opinion and I know I'll not change the majorities opinions so I'll stick to DL pvp where if you try to type "go" you'll be vermin swarmed while ur fingers are on ur keys and then laughed at. Hehe.
