    Question L51 mage built questions

    Hi to all L51-55 PVPers,

I am thinking to build a level mage 51 (not sooner but just planning in my mind so I have time to save gold hehehehe)..
So the question, what is your recommendation? I do not have constraint in my gold/plat but I would like the "optimized" pvp build?

    a) Pure mage equipped with pink gemstone wand-bracer set?
    b) Pure mage equipped with pink gemstone staff (small diamond staff) set?
    c) Pure mage equipped with other items?
    d) Dexchantress equipped with underling (+3 m/s) and mage pink helm and mage pink armor? bow or recurve?
    e) Dexchantress (pure dex or half?) equipped with dex pink set? bow or recurve?
    f) Dexchantress (pure dex or half?) equipped with other items?
    g) Paladin with a pink gemstone wand and other items as fury?
    h) Paladin (pure str or half?) with a fury set?
    i) Paladin (pure str or half?) with other items?
    j) Other ideas?

    * If I'll go dual which two from (a)-(j) will give valid good combinations?

    Thanks,

A dexchantress is your best bet of course. I'd use Mega Mage's gear at all times... However, the dexterity in it is going to be really handy. Why? You have the opportunity to use bows and auto-crossbows. Mages with bows are very powerful at this level.mThe pure intelligence won't help you that much even if you prefer wand and staff sets... Remember... Dexterity rings tend to be the good ones. You can talk to my dear Alessandra if you need more help ^_^!

If you need a skill build, try the link under. It's a decent one.:

    What noodle said.

put enough dex to equip raid gear. I think it's 108, and the rest int. I never really liked using a recurve bow, but the auto bow is awesome for kiting. feel free to ask any questions.

Sewer King gives a bit more mana and health regen if you want to switch off. It's basically an RR Recurve except it has less critical hit and damage. Some mages don't like RR Recurves because its mana regen is horrible. Alessandra loves to nuke me with her SK Bow lol...

Dexchantress or int with 69 dex for rings and dodge and hit%

Also here's a little something you can use to reference... These are some of the basics and options...

I'd say go 50/50 dex int. As for skills I'm not sure. Shadow and sentinel sets are way better than L51 Sewer items. If I'm not wrong Shadow Glowstick set can pwn L55 toons as well.

Ty for the replies... i wonder no one mentions int-str built.. paladin... it should be good I think maximizing your dodge and armor with full nightmare (so birds will miss theyre combo and u dodge a lot) with high m/s too... the disadvantage is you dont have hit % so the game will end in a time. what you think? thanks for reply

I see your point. I've seen only two decent pallies and it's riseabove (conradin) and flex. In my opinion, they don't have enough hit or damage to cover up their dodge. Oh, and by the way... Birds are usually warbirds with str gear and dex bows. What does that mean? They miss a lot, but dodge a lot.

Why not 55? Less money to spend XD. I'd do enough dex for equip and rest in INT. Sewer Queen Robes with Sewer Bow/RR XBow is pretty good. Or you can do enough Str for equip and rest in dex if you can afford Fury Fighter Helm and Armor.

A pally would be very good for ctf at this level. Too bad there is no ctf below endgame. For 1v1, duel specing with enough dex for gear/rest int is better, imo.

Any proof to back up your theory?

Pallies r overrated a bit. I know that coz I'm a pally. They r beast in 1 on 1 but they only stack up deaths in ctf. CTF is FFA by nature and if there's any good bird then he'll take the kills and you'll only stack up deaths
