Fire Aura question

Is it:

I use it within 3m of you and you burn for 50dps for 10 seconds...
or
I am on fire for 10 seconds and do 50dps to whoever is within 3m to me during that time.

IE: is it a VS style dot I can use and back away... or something to use on someone when I am going to remain point blank while I melee spam

good to combine with shadow dance. paired with auto attacks you become a monster.
