goals: purchase shadowgem from item pack

This shows as my last goal. I have tried dozens of packs and have not got a shadow gem. Can anyone help and tell me which one will give a shadowgem please?

I'm guessing it can be done on the gold pack, but it hasn't worked, and i have tried the other item packs and while i did get somethings good, not a shadowgem which is the only reason i am messing with these random packs to begin with to get the goal complete

Also, i don't see an explanation for those goals from the book icon and if there is a reward or something if they are all complete. Anyone one know the purpose of the goals?

Goals are just the new tutorial for a beginning player. There is no reward. It is just a means to show new players where the store is.
Why there is a goal for purchase a bundle pack AND shadow gem from the gamble packs is a source of great frustration for me. Its excessive and serves no purpose.
I'd love to get rid of the goals from my screen. I really dont get why there are 2 seperate "please give us money" goals. One, to show new players where the store is should be more than sufficient.

Im just curious as to why in particular, a shadow gem is needed to complete the last goal.

Also, i must agree that the last goal might sort of make new players who decided to buy plat frustrated if they keep trying and can't get any shadow gems from the item packs.

Thanks for the hint on icey talons pack! I spent 350k+ on the gold one and about 50 plat over the others not hitting a shadowgem. I am frustrated to say the least that these type of "requires purchase to complete" things even exist, it strikes me as manipulative and makes me not want to play if that angle of marketing continues. It should name the pack that it can be found in, because I am 100% certain there is no shadowgem in the 15k gold pack. I got what I paid for no complaint there, but if it's part of a tutorial, the only thing I learned is be careful with this game, things aren't what they seem. It should be easy to complete, as easy as the others, or it should tell you where to start looking at least besides get it from a pack.

It is also incredibly annoying that I have already purchased a ton of item packs and have gotten shadow gems, but the goals say I need to do it again because I didn't have that goal active as I was waiting to collect nightly rewards.

Hey hey guys
I too was always woundering how too finish this goal.
When I had lvl capped berry I decided to buy her an ”Epic Patrol Bundle” the out fit was cute plus it came with gems and a weapon (stats not so good on those) and the goal was finished. So theres no need to keep buying chance packs just a bundle pack. I wouldnt spend 30 plat on a goal with no reward though.

I give up. Just spent 20 plat on icey talon pack and no shadowgem only greens too. I am done with this foolishness, what a tutorial. Lol! Lesson learned!

I agree wit xaphan, to me that need-to-buy-plat-to-accomplish goals kinda seemed like cheap way of getting money outta new players, at least they should note that u get absolutely nothing for completing these goals.

also i'd like an option to turn it off.

I made a thread about this very issue.....It's the biggest CON of all time.....YES I CALLED IT CON!! you get ZERO ....I mean you purchase these PLAT bundles and get ZERO...no GEMS/WEAPONS. I'M OBVIOUSLY NOT TALKING ABOUT GETTING A REWARD FOR GOAL COMPLETION.

I did eventually get the "required" gem ,but it took 3-4 days to show goal was COMPLETED LOL . I also HATE that I have an empty GOAL icon on my screen. It ought to be removed after goal has been attained,no?

Sam said it was some glitch/bug thingy though ...

You do actually get some gems or other things from the plat bundles its not a scam as there are guaranteed items just that it may not be what u want.

Yeah, I wasn't complaining about what I got. I was mainly complaining that this goal was harder and costlier than it appears at face value, and more difficult than the others to complete. If it was any gem, it would serve the purpose and show people where the packs are in the store.

I got what I paid for, just not a shadowgem which is what I needed to complete the goal and I have given up chasing the dragon.

and icw talon with 75 plat
i heard about worse cases.. so i guess im lucky
