First, pretty sure I know how to maximize my attribute points. Second, you entirely missed the purpose of my post. Beats are the only class who has to split attribute points to maximize class gear.

Really? Any bear PURE str couldn't hit the ocean. Parth, Glad, Buddy, etc will tell you we have to be dual to have a chance.

Umm no...but do I have to be to understand the capabilities of a bear? All I know is that bears did perfectly fine in MF, wether that be pure STR, dual spec, or whatever. I had a hard time killing bears, as did a lot of other mages, so I don't want to hear something like "bears are getting the short end of the stick" because they aren't. There's always going to be something wrong in a class, you can either decide to work around it, or complain. I like working around my problems.

And to settle the dispute upstairs, I can agree there is NO WAY a bear can make it in pvp as a pure str. You would have 65% hit last cap and around 75-80% this cap with this set.

I don't get why bears would complane about not being able to go full str while they are able to compete with other classes easily if they have some skill as dual str/dex.

They still have loads of armor, dodge, health and regen in tank gear; and being dual allows them to wield bows for damage as well when needed.

There is no disadvantage in being 'forced' to go dual, is there?

The disadvantage of dexmage: lower mana, m/s, and considerably lower skill damage.

The disadvantage of a war bird: lower base dmg, skill dmg, hit, and sometimes crit.

Both of the above maximize their class as lures.

Disadvantage of dual bear: lower health pool, h/s, and armor.

However, as a pure strength, hit % is terrible. I respecced to pure str with my crafted set on and had 75% hit. Armor and h/s were higher and my health pool went to 945 (almost 200 more than dual.) If we are meant to survive, why can't we?

I think at this cap pure bears could work well in pve(cuz the +15 hit shield thing)
But I still don't see them doing well in pvp, with all the extra dodge now, u really can't risk that miss on beckon

Lmao, I'll admit... I borrowed a friend's str set and tried a full str bird. Rofl! It was awesome. 110% hit buffed, high dodge, 830 health pool, 240 armor, etc! The skill damage was about 150 lower than full dex though lmao. But for capturing the flag in ctf... Lol it was awesome. Fun build.

You can ask Elyseon, he was fighting me with his full dex bird and even when I was unbuffed, it took him a long time to kill me lol
