Shamus "bad luck" elixer?

Ok, so since the crafting update I have been farming monster bash. I usually purchase the 7 plat elixer (forgot the name) that gives you 2x damage, armor, 20% speed and 35% luck for 30 minutes. Then I delete the luck and purchase shamus.

In 30 minutes I usually can do around 6-8 monster bash runs if I'm with a good group that moves along quick. So I've gone through 5 rounds of this since the update, meaning about 30-40 runs through monster bash, which means I've killed 150-200 bosses (5 bosses per run). And for it I got exactly one pink, a Hula Armor, and no recipes, no ocean blue diamonds, no gems.

So tonight on the final run the elixers all run out right before Tiki God. And then you know what happens.... Ocean Blue Diamond drops.

I think on future runs I'm just going to leave the 35% elixer and stop wasting my money on the Shamus. All the Shamus seems to do is give me lots of purple re-rolls from greens. Never end up with pinks.

I can run an hour or more on thrasher + shamus and not get a pink. It's just a dice roll.

For me it will be like 30 run pink drought then 3 pinks in one runs

Just funny how I get my best drop the one boss where there was no luck elixer.

Sometimes I wonder that myself! Not sure about Shamus 100 percent...I'm sick of all the purples that drop. I'm not sure if Bigger luck combined with Shamus really does that much, but like others said its luck. I see a lot of players get stuff with no elixirs or there's always the one player dead on the floor who gets the pink. :-/

I thought the same thing till I got a purple that did not reroll. Do you really want to leave that to chance?

I thought when people said things like "it didn't work", that they were just saying they had unlucky runs. Do you mean that it literally doesn't do what it says it does sometimes?

I have used Shamus since update and it rerolls 100% of the time, like advertised. People seem to forget that it doesn't mean "100% refill for pink.". I could be as simple as a green rerolling for a better green.

But as others have stated, it still cones down to getting that purple to be able to reroll for pink.

So last night I did a run with just the regular combo elixer (7 plat) that gives 35% luck. It resulted in no pinks, but also did not see any purples that were not re-rolls. By saving 20 plat on each run (I mean each group of runs, 30 minutes meaning 6-8 monster bash runs), I can do an extra set of runs for the same amount of plat.

So what is better? 6-8 runs with shamus, or 12-14 runs with 35% luck elixer and also wearing big luck helm? Which one of those two gives me a better chance for a pink?
