I understood that and did read it the first time.

If they're gonna post that and then give recognition to people who they designed items after (namely winners of that particular contest and every contest prior and upcoming) then why not do it for all.

I'm not upset about them not giving recognition, I'm upset about them making it seem like they came up with the idea all by themselves.

Im sure they would have said so if they would have used your idea. There isnt a reason not to. They have nothing to lose by doing so. As even if they did they have full rights over your idea and dont have to give anything in return. None the less cool wep design.
