The trick is to be with an accomplice and then tell him, take your weapon off. If a pink drops you say: see told you. If it does not you give him a hard time for not taking the weapon off. Bystanders will not know the difference. Rince repeat and after a little other players are spreading the rumor for you.
The funny thing is that every pink drop I've seen the chests were open.

I agree with you, Fox. Everytime I hear the dratted "Don't open the box!" Urban legend, I mock them and open up the chests. Sad that people believe in such nonsense :/

Man, kicked right before the boss? That's even worse than kicking in the first place for such stupid reasons..
