I find that mages aren't op if your fast enough. My custom birdy did just fine. Dex mages are pretty east if they aren't in a set bonus. Mages in general aren't op around that level as they are now. I know in 55 pvp my bird won't get hit with a 600 drain. Unlike endgame.
But 55 area was perfect for pvp. 56 sets are WAY to much for a 55 to handle, and with more popping up, its easier to go to 58 and get a moderately priced set, instead of some banana hammock crazy 203802m set.
And if you still think dex mages are op with your pure bird. Just hybrid it lol. Can't tell you how many wins ive had with Viiziio over dex mages.

I've dished a few FFA fights in 35 and 51 with blitz. Of course he usually wins but I wouldn't say he never lost. People aren't invincible or anything lol.

But seriously just because a person loses one fight doesn't mean that they are worse than their opponent, and vice-versa.

It's because Mage is essentially easier to kill at level 56.
Remember that bird was pretty OP during Sewer Cap.
And the huge thing is,
MAGE DOES NOT DODGE AT 56!!!!!!
OMG!

With bird, all you have to do is manage to dodge one or two times from mage's skills, or be able to kill fast enough.
A critical arrow hits around 150-300 on a Glyph Mage, a non-critical hits somewhere from 40-170.
I have been able to beat Glyph mages with my bird in Sewer Gear as well.
In the end, it all comes down to luck, since Dodge is pure luck.

When my Mage was level 51 with keeper staff set I killed a level 56 custom bird easy but he was good versus mages at his own level, I did this to 10 or so other birds aswell

Sigh I love how people brag about their lucky accomplishments... I for one think agree with a lot of what everyone says here except I'd like to challenge blitz to FFA to 10 match on my 56 bird.

Since we are bragging and getting off topic already, I just want to say one thing~

Birds are not underpowered against dex mages in the least. I don't know what level 55-56 pvp you guys were playing, but the one I played found me beating just about every dex Mage out there...and I didn't even have glyph.

Most likely, you have a high amount of this one thing called skill, and some people have fighting styles that beat other styles maybe your style is dexmage<You

That's not my point. If MM beats your overpowered set, MM must be overpowered too, which we know is false.

And I did try a full nuri's set, NEVER had problems vs MM mages. The crazy damage always won.
