I've been a proponent of more gold sinks for the game, kind of like repair costs for gear like in World of Warcraft, but it seems like STS is stubbornly against it.
I've been thinking about it some more, and it actually kind of makes sense from a business standpoint on their end. If we experience hyper inflation, which pocket legends is, since we are generating way more gold from just farming and liquidating, than we are spending up in potions or gold elixirs, the only way to stay "on par" is to keep playing and farming for the gear.
Hyper inflation doesn't affect you if you are still a producer since the value of those items will also inflate. Hyper inflation is only really bad for those sitting on large sums of money that is continuing to depreciate, OR for new players who do not have the "production capability" - AKA farming high level gear.
Still, I'd like to see the PL economy balance out and have more effective gold sinks, but STS (and rightly so) is more interested in how to get people to buy more plat, not whether or not the PL economy is inflating.
