May I ask two questions (Three if you count this one)? Why do you have your phone set to a different language? Is that a jailbroken iphone?

Not many no. It's probably because most of them can't take screenshots

Have you ever used a jailbroken iDevice? Because I completely disagree.

Yeah, jail breaking adds customization. But nowhere as near as Android.

Precisely. I have an app which allows me tons of customization screens and lock screens and doesn't require breaking the warranty on my device.

IMHO (not to be rude), Android is such a try hard company. They think of it as innovation, but it's really just poorly thrown together attributes. I had a Droid X (when the Droid X was one of the fastest Android phones and Motorola was almost the only company making devices with Android) before I had my iPhone 4. In the same year, I upgraded to that iPhone 4 because even with the things like ADW Launcher EX, 4shared, and PowerAMP (which were all freaking amazing), customization for the Android made the system slow. Granted, iPhones experience a bit of lag, but it is nothing close to what I experienced with Android. Sure you can say that Android has grown (too much quantity, needs more software balance. Meaning every Android device should be running Android 4.1 because they haven't been out for that long. But no, Android introduced too much quantity.) and started to become much faster, but iOS is still far superior; even though it adds less user customization (because it really doesn't need it). I still get everything I want on my iPhone. Here are a few examples:

-Unlimited Pandora Skips - No ads
-Customization on a Retina display (Retina display is amazing).
-Way more apps than Android will ever have (Google Play is terrible; needs more organization and needs a better app review process)
-Better Camera (it seems megapixels don't even matter. I don't care if ones phone has 14 megapixels; my iPhone stil takes better pictures at 5 megapixels)

Might I also add, unjailbreaking is as simple as an iTunes restore. And if you're not a caveman, normally you can do it without Apple knowing. Besides, who uses their warranty anyways. The only thing warranty covers is factory malfunctions)

Megapixels on a camera don't matter nearly at all. There are lots of other factors (lens quality, aperture, etc) that make a camera better.

Also, don't forget, you can root an android device. You're comparing a jail broken iPhone, to an unrooted android phone, which really isn't a fair match up. I've owned 7+ different android phones, and I currently own a jailbroken iPhone. No doubt android can be customized far more than an iPhone, jailbroken or not.

Honestly, you can't compare ALL Android devices to the DroidX. Comparing the iPhone4 to the X is like comparing a 2013 Dodge Charger to a 1990 Nissan Sentra. You are looking at vast changes in both OS and quality. A better comparison would be a Samsung Galaxy Nexus to the iPhone4. Both have newer OS' and overall functional improvements.

I can say this because I recently upgraded my X to a Nexus after almost going to an iPhone. The differences are ridiculous! I feel like I have never truly owned a smartphone and am more than happy with my decision.

Understandable. Although today's 'tech-savvy' people think that megapixels mean everything.

I know Androids can be rooted (I personally don't care for rooted androids though). I was comparing a jailbroken iDevice to unrooted Androids because others on the thread made the point that they can customize without breaking their warranty and saying that there was basically no customization with iDevices - flat.

Droid X was only a couple of years ago, and the iPhone 4 only came out shortly after; hence the reason I noted that both OS's have been upgraded and the things have indeed changed - for both devices.

I personally like the Nexus 7. It seems like an awesome device! Sorry for the double posties.
