pink drop question

so i've been thinking and i remember something about drops only dropping if you meet the lvl requirements (as in lvl 40 voleria epics only drop if you lvl 40+) so if this is true, am i wasting my time + plat with luck enhancer runs with this new boss since it drops other lvl'ed items since i'm level 37 on my alt?

edit: can we get a dev to confirm this? a lot of mixed answers

No.. I am level 39 and I get Lv40 pink drops all the time..

In the hive, (note: i never bought any enhancer.. ever) I got a Primed Flux Cannon, and Chrome Phoenix without enhancers in just 3 runs

the hive ONLY drops lvl 40 items so its forced to give you something in the drop table. now that lower leveled items have been introduced into the new bosses drop table it goes back to normal mode.

Been a long time since I thought about this question (capped within the first month).

Seems to me if you are looking for a higher level legendary, check your drops without enhancers. If you get level 40 drops on that map (same level as the legendary you're looking for), then that legendary is possible.

If you are only seeing level 37-38 drops, then it won't happen it's out of your drop range.

I do remember the extremely rare circumstance before level 40 where I would receive a purple drop in Voleria.. but most importantly, I remember AFTER I hit level 40 when all of a sudden I would receive those drops ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME. So, do you think that's the case with this new level as well, that the drop rate goes up dramatically when you reach the level?

I actually think that it is true.. I was in a game with 40-41's when i was 39.. I got 1 epic, and they kept getting tons of them and they also got Zevons..
So when I hit 40.. I got tons of epics and a Zevon

so im seeing mixed emotions about this subject here. i'm seeing its extremely rare when you under leveled, 36-37 is below the level ranged of receiving them, and you don't get them at all.

Kills buy a 25% re roll and see what you get. I remember looting nova at 38 from MF. One would assume its similar right ?

Pink drop rates aren't affected by anything but luck enhancers. The only thing level effects is the actual level of the item ex: a level 51 farming in the sewers will get the same pink that a level 55 would get (with slightly changed stats), but the pink would have level 51 as the required level.

i've bought 100% lucks and didn't get any rerolls on anything higher than my level. idk if its a coincidence or its actually supposed to do that.
