I guess these enemies respawn when you kill them, right?

If indeed they do, they don't count in "enemies remaining". It's like the shadows in Mynas's room. You don't need to kill them to complete the level. However, if they don't respawn it's probably a bug.

No u start off with 5 remaining then u kill a couple it says 4 then u have 1 raiming its not just the boss
