Mixed thoughts on midgame to endgame joining no longer allowed

I understand that STS put this in so that people are not hopping in end game to kill the boss with miners. This is also more profitable for them and in someways to those who get pinks while doing the whole run. My complaint is that random games seem like they never complete anymore as one person drops out near the end the rest do as well. I myself stopped joining non-hosted games as it seems like one person is likely to drop out during the course of the game. It was nice having the freedom to join random games and know that they would eventually complete no matter how long it took, but now most of mine runs end up failing. I guess what I'm asking is how does the community feel about the change? your thoughts and opinons?

Edit: In no way am I complaining about the pink drops as I have got the ones that I wanted, its more of that feeling of completeness (even when joining a not so organized run).

I was under the impression that this was a glitch STS was trying to fix.

I mean, why would the devs implement this mechanic? Not only does it make completing levels with a full-group a mind-boggling hassle (people come and go in groups all the time), it also costs STS real money. Those players spending platinum on luck enhancers will be highly discouraged from doing so.

Gibber, Samhayne, if y'all are worried about people over-farming pinks, just decrease the chances of Purple drops. It's an easy fix.

Edit: Upon browsing the bug thread, I found that this was already brought up. While not a glitch, Sam says it's being changed back to the way it was.

The team is in the process of changing the join screen functionality back to allow people to join games that are in the list. The list will not display zones that are completed and zero population (just closing out).

So what if I'm soloing and I want to switch at the end to my other character with miner? I can't anymore? Since it will just be closed.. (recording to what Sam says) and because it's considered a empty room (zero population) once I leave.

It's also not about saving miners luck, but when your in a good team and then you suddenly dc near the boss thanks to server issues and connection issues there is no way to come back in.
I was the only engineer in that party and for me not able to rejoin definitely made my team have to spam stims and work a hell lot harder due to my absence. Mitchturbo definitely slipped through the void lol. Unable to help.

Thanks for fixing this devs. My team really appreciate the fix. Can't wait for the update now :-)
