No idea what would cause a tablet to burst, but that sucks. Save your pennies for a Nexus 7 tablet, they cost just under $200 US in most places, plus STS games run great on them.

I just bought a nexus 7 google tablet, It sucks, I had to return it because it had 2 black lines on the screen that wouldnt go away, just buy on ethat s not nexus 7, not worth it unless u like refunds

My wife has a nexus 7 it runs perfectly, sounds like you got a dodgy one or damaged it somehow.

The game on the nexus 7 runs really smoothly, its fast and the graphics look good. Only downside I foun was the colors looked a little dull compared to my two HTC devices. But I definitely recomend one for the price and its also the best tablet I have played with so far (I play around with a lot of tablets even ipads so I know what I'm talking about) but still my opinion.

I have three family members that own Nexus 7s and they work flawlessly. Sucks that you got a defective one, but that does not mean that they are all defective. It is always smart to keep the receipt in the event that you need to return a defective product.

You should at least give another one a try, for the price they are incredible technology... You only have to read all the positive reviews everyone are giving them ^_^

You used to get $25 credit for Google Play when you setup your Nexus 7 with your Google account. No idea if you still get that or not, but you could use that credit for STS plat.
