Auto Attack locking issues

Well first, any type of auto aim is lame but thats just imo.

Bug is often I have real trouble targeting (locking) the next NPC in front of me. Sometimes the auto locks a target behind me. Or targets a running NPC that I cant fire on until it runs for 5 mins and regens. More often than that it will pick a target that is around the next corner, or in the hall where I have no way of actually killing that target to get my targeting back.

Is there not a way to unlock the locking system when it has by mistake locked the incorrect target. This is very annoying when entering a boss room, you get locked up on the wrong target by mistake and not only can you offer no meaningful help to your party on the boss. You take a chance of being killed because you cant adjust your direction of fire to the threat.
