Elite Sea Blaster vs. Phantom Pirate's Crossbow

The Sea Blaster is, ever so slightly, stronger than the Phantom Crossbow. Does anybody know how the weapon's range compares to it?

And... how, exactly, does the cannonball feature work? Does a new skill pop up on your screen?

Well they r pretty similar ..
Many say the phantom bow proc of stunning is better but some like the blaster cuz of looks ..
Couple more damage not too muh of a difference in endgame pvp..
The bomb droppings are random too

The phantom bow has the advantage of not killing you and your teammates, soooo...

The cannonball comes out once you do cruel blast combo, which is break armor the scream that starts with an s and then blast shot, this sends out little cannon ball that explodes after like 5 seconds or so, watch out, its instant kill

The cannonball doesn't happen when you use cruel blast, it is simply random. Also the damage it inflicts is dependent on the level of map that you are in, as shown by Fluff in his thread. Not always an instant kill, but dangerous to be sure.
The forgotten bow has the damage advantage but both the phantom and the esb complete the set giving the bonus.

The forgotten bow has a higher top end of the damage range and higher dps, but the Phantom bow has a higher lower range of damage. And yeah, with the set bonus the crafted set has higher armor and crit. I think it pretty much balances out.

Possibly more importantly, skill damage is also higher with the phantom bow set than the lvl 71 forgotten bow

Phantom and Sea Blaster have much longer attack range than Forgotten, and they require less dex to equip, so for those who are dual spec, Phantom/Sea Blaster are better.
