Arrow Pocket Legends - Sub-Classes Overview

    Introduction

Welcome back again folks to another of my guides! This time, we will be focusing on Sub-classes in the game that may or may not be shown to others in the game. As always, here's to having constructive feedback, and I hope you enjoy and share it with new players!

    Basic Classes

    For a start, allow me to recap you guys of what the 3 classes are. The 3 classes available in the game are;

    Warrior

They are capable of drawing aggro from players and Tanking. More commonly known as Bears, The Ursan is the Backbone of any cooperative team. The Helm and Armor they wield has the highest armor of the 3 types of Class Items.

However, Strength items are limited to Melee range, which is about 1-2m from the player's point of view. Bears won't excel in having a guarantee in terms of Hit%. Plus, they might be a hassle to control at any point in early game, and will only start to excel when they unlocked Beckon.

    Archer

Archers serve as the Eyes of the party, able to take down mobs in a flash, and dealing tremendous damage to Bosses with their long ranged skills. Archers excel in early game, where the mobs often dealt quite a small amount of damage to begin with. The Helm and Armor which Birds(commonly known as) wear consist of a great amount of hit% and dodge% plus damage, Allowing them to excel in damage dealing.

The downside is that they are squishy when it comes to mid-game and endgame, and that they have to spam lots of potions in order to survive, so unlike Warriors that could actually tank or Enchanters that could actually heal, The Archer has no means of proper healing nor capable to tank any strong blows from the enemy.

    Enchanters
Generally known as Mages, The Enchanter/Enchantress is a female elf, capable of nuking mobs and healing others in a game. Generally known to heal and resurrect others in a cooperative game, the Mage combines the concept of Healing or Nuking to a single character which is capable of doing both. Mages are the most versatile of the 3 classes in a game as any sub-classes they pick would be useful in their own advantage.

The downside of being a Mage is that the Helm and Armor Mages wear is only useful for self survivability issue, and even then to be frank, the armor points given to Int Armors does not Help when the mobs aggro you for nuking them, Plus Mages are more likely to buy Platinum to help up in a party.

    Stats
Now that we have learned the 3 basic classes of the game, we can finally start to understand what to add to our stats to make ourselves more powerful in Pocket Legends.

Quoting from a Player guide (Thanks to SilentArrow),

Dex- Adds critical hit, hit %, DPS, dodge% and skill damage when playing as a bird.
Str- Adds Hp, H/S, armor, and skill damage when playing as a bear.
Int- Adds Mana, M/S, and skill damage when playing as a mage.

Critical hit% would determine the probability of how often your attacks would do a critical hit on the enemy.

Hit% would determine how often your auto-attacks or your skill damage will actually hit the enemy.

Dodge determines how much you will be avoiding the enemy attack when the enemy hits you. The higher the better in PvE.

DPS(more known as Damage per Second) Determines the amount of damage you deal over time. Some weapons would have low DPS yet have strong hits, while others would have high DPS and have low damage.

HP is the maximum health points you could get in your character. Watch your HP often in a game, because once it reaches 0, you sir, are dead, and a Death Point will be added to your KDR. You can determine how much health you have left by looking at your Health bar at the top left of the screen or your potions at times since potions also show the amount of health you have left.

H/S Refers to Health Regenerated per second. This is a survivability stat to ensure your health comes back slowly in a due matter of time. It is one of the key factors of saving cash from buying potions in the game.

Armor are your shield when it comes to getting hurt by mobs, the higher your armor points have, the more tanky you will be in surviving mobs.

Mana are maximum points that allows you to use your skills in combat. Watch your mana pool often by the same way as you would do for Health checking, because when it reaches zero, you are unable to use skills for a set amount of time. Don't worry though, Most items would usually come with.....

M/S that would determine the amount of mana regenerated per second. The higher this stat is, the less you will be reliant on your mana potions.

SO now we have the basics and the stats all covered up, which will finally lead us to...

    Sub-Classes

Sub-classes are build variants which would determine how well you are in combat or survivability. The use of a sub-class would mean to most newbies, you will have to sacrifice the auto-assign stat points build in order to try out any of those below stated builds.

    All Classes - Balanced Build

Newbie's build. The easiest build to achieve in without putting any effort of thinking. This build Tri-spec all attributes to allow the player to be a little better at everything. The Required stat of any class would be favoured on by the AI.

The downside of this build is that You will not be able to tank or deal damage proficiently, your heal would be slightly worse than pure Mages. This is balanced in everything so don't expect strong attacks compared to your friends.

Warrior - Tank (At Least 90% Strength)

This build is achieved when you have at least 90% of your attributes in Strength, which would make you extremely tanky due to high Health and Armor Points. The Warrior would be able to tank well and draw enemy attention from allies like most bears.

The bad point about having this build on is, The Warrior would miss on his attacks often, and that The damage he does to the enemy won't be enough to keep the mob's aggro on him for long.

In a match of PvP, The Tank has the potential to hit hard if his attacks does not miss often. Because The Tank could not attack well in PvP, it is definitely not newbie friendly in that aspect, and could be a liability to a team in a PvP game.

Warrior - Dex Warriors (Str>Dex. Above 50% Strength)

The most common of the Bear builds, This build capitalises on the Warrior's capabilities to damage well and grants him some control on the Archer's Arsenal of Weapons and Armor. If the player adds more Dex into the build, Stronger Dex Armory would be unlocked, And the bear would be able to deal even more damage. This build would focus on drawing aggro from allies, and maintaining them around the bear.

This build however, would reduce the Warrior's tankiness, and the damage taken would cause the player to die more often than Tanks, thus he would need the support of Enchanters in order to survive well in tanking mobs.

The Dex Warrior is one of the most used of Warriors in a match of PvP. With the recent Humania Update, A single Dex Warrior is able to kill enemies in PvP with his self-combo.

Warrior - Bow Warriors (Dex>Str. Above 50% Dexterity)

Bow Warriors are a variant of the Dex Warrior build. This build focus mainly on Dexterity, Thus you would notice those Bears using an archer's weapon to deal strong Auto-Attack Damage.

The downside of this build is that Bow Warriors will be less tanky compared to even Dex Bears, and the player utilising this build have to take note that some skills of the bear that requires him to go to melee range. The Health Pool and Health Regeneration would suffer, thus the Bow Warrior has to Learn to support any tanking classes. Inexperienced Bow Warriors, just like Combat Mages and Tricksters, are also prone to Scattering mobs all around, thus a capable Bow Warrior should learn Proper Drawing of mobs to avoid more trouble for the team.

Often seen in PvP, Bow Warriors has the advantage over other Warriors in terms of range, plus high damage as seen in the Dex Warrior could kill opponents quickly and efficiently. Do note that you could be potential food to any class that could tank out your incoming damage though.

Warrior - Combat Mage (Str>Int or vice versa.)

This build focus on the Warrior able to equip Staffs and Wands, which has special abilities in Auto-attack, Adds on to Dealing noticeably strong damage due to the weapon's special effect. The Bear's regeneration on both health and man would increase greatly, and is useful for cutting costs in saving potions.

The downside is that Combat Mages are vulnerable to increased damage due to the Mage's Armory not having enough armor points to consider tanking. Combat Mages must also take note that they, like Bow Warriors and Tricksters, are more prone to scattering mobs, so similarly you must learn to beckon wisely and know where you want the mobs to be.

Similar to the Bow Warrior, Combat Mages have the advantage over other Warriors in range, though not as far as the Bow Warrior. Your chance on a kill with this build depends on your weapon's special ability since Intellect does not add on damage as well as Dexterity. Work with your teammates and ensure you don't rush out to the front line since you are not as tanky as the Tank or Dex Warriors/Bow Warriors and you could die easily without the help of your team covering your back.

Warrior - Trickster (Dex>Int or vice versa)

One of the rare builds utilised due to lack of popularity, This build draws power from both the Archer and Mage's Arsenal. The build capitalises on both melee and range and is considered situational-friendly when it comes to attacking boss using dagger, or supporting allies in ranged combat.

A flaw in this build is that the player becomes squishy just like the Archer or Mage. They won't have high Skill damage output so Tricksters should rely on their auto-attack skills and mainly debuff mobs. Similar to both the Bow Warrior and the Combat Mage, the Trickster should not only learn to draw mobs properly, but must also understand the difference between Melee and Ranged.

Up till now, I have not seen such a build that appears in PvP yet. I will update this of it's pros and cons if more info is given!

This guide should aid you for those of you that requires calculating of Range. Credit goes to flinewoo for making such a great guide!
    http://www.spacetimestudios.com/show...-the-Distance-!!

Archer - Sniper (At least 90% Dexterity)

This is by far, one of the most popular yet classic build for The Archer. In this build, the Archer's skill damage and attack rate is greatly increased. The Archer literally becomes Death itself with it's extremely high damage output. In the hands of a competant player, The Sniper is able to demolish mobs from afar by kiting.

The disadvantage is that the medium armor points and it's low HP makes The Sniper easy pickings for anyone that thinks that targeting the Sniper is not such a bad idea at all. Combined with the fact that Archers requires a big pool of potions, The Sniper is better off supporting to kill mobs only with a Tank, Dex Warrior, Paladin or Amazon.

The Sniper could be a great asset in PvP as his high skill damage could mean that he could kill an enemy player in 2 to 3 hits. The Sniper, in the hands of an experienced player, could turn the tides of a losing team almost instantly as his debuff and root skills are very helpful for defense and for kiting his opponents exceptionally. Do note however about The Sniper's squishyness and note that dodge% in a game of PvP nowadays could either aid you or it could hurt you.

    Archer - WarAvian (Dex>Str. Above 50% Dexterity)

WarAvians sacrifice some of their points in Dexterity for some needed hp and Better Armor. In this build, The Archer gains access to the Warrior's Armory, which grants better armor and HP to protect themselves. The more points invested in Strength, better Weapons and Armor are unlocked and the WarAvian becomes more tanky.

While trading Damage with Survivability, do note that as a WarAvian, you don't deal as much DPS as The Sniper, and you are still grounded to surviving by spamming potions. However, this does not mean you must stay far away from the mobs just like The Sniper. Rather, Rush in with the help of a Mage and start to Root and give the mobs what the birds are feared for. Except this time, you won't die so easily and you would be able to execute combos with some fair concern for your own health.

WarAvian is the way to go if you're starting off in PvP and learning everything. It's like training wheels until you adapt to a more proficient playing style. The problem on WarAvians in PvP is that as an archer, it is crucial to deal high damage, and that the WarAvian is unable to do that due to decreased damage in exchange for tanking slightly.

    Archers - Emblems (Str>Dex. Above 50% Strength.)

Among the WarAvians lies the Emblems, Archers that decided to go Melee to be a secondary Tank, while dealing Damage and able to target more enemies via combos. Emblems are tanky enough with the right gear, Allowing them to get up close and personal with mobs to initiate combos. Among with Strength and Dexterity gear, it is almost similar to Dex Warriors in terms of damage.

Frankly, The build offers better survivability compared to Waravians, However, the Emblem is unable to deal Massive DPS unlike the WarAvian and the Sniper. Also take note of the fact that Archers have to rely on potions to ensure their own survivability in a cooperative game.

Similarly to WarAvians in PvP, Emblems face the same problems of not dealing good damage in the long run. Generally, if an Emblem is to play PvP, he should be communicating with his teammates on how to flank the enemy while making use of his attributes and his nerfed damage range.

Archer - Sorcerer (Dex>Int or vice versa)

The Sorcerer is capable of utilising Mage Weapons in order to deal special effects on the enemy. Among with their deadly skills in action, The Sorceror has enhanced mana regeneration so that the player has less need to spam Mana Potions. Rarely seen in action, Sorcerers are powerful enough in terms of damage output slightly stronger than that of WarAvians.

The disadvantage of this build is similar to that of the Sniper. You have reduced armor to make matters worse for your survivability issues. Among that, you deal damage not strong enough compared to the Sniper. Stock up on Health Potions and choose your skills wisely in this build, because Restore and Meditation is not going to work well on this one.

Up till now, I have not seen such a build that appears in PvP yet. I will update this of it's pros and cons if more info is given!

Archer - UberMage (Str>Int or vice versa)

UberMages are an extremely rare build to play due to lack of popularity. The UberMage has considerable HP to tank with, Among with the ability to don Warrior Armors, The UberMage has enhanced Mana Regeneration similar to the Sorceror and could also equip Mage Weapons for range with special effects.

Because of this class mainly focusing on the Archer's flaws of requiring potion mashing, This build sacrifice great Offense skill output with meagre survivability compared to Warrior and Mage builds. Also, like the Trickster, this build is great for situational instances.

Up till now, I have not seen such a build that appears in PvP yet. I will update this of it's pros and cons if more info is given!

Mage - Nuke (At least 90% Intellect)

A powerful yet vulnerable to enemy fire, the Nuke specializes in it's ability to deal large skill damage in an AoE all around him as well as having the beat healing capabilities in the game. Clearly able to proceed without setbacks in early game, the Nuke also has a high mana pool and regeneration to kick in to repeatably mash on skills.

What this build does in terms of damage and healing, it has a setback on armor and survivability issues as armor is an issue to the Nuke as well as the Dexchantress. If the player is the only mage around, it is best for him to lay back and support only when needed in order not to die and catch up with the party.

The Nuke may not hit instantly, but when it does, the damage is huge enough to wipe out even Warriors. Do note that in a match of PvP, activating your Mana Shield too early or too late against an opponent could prove fatal. Not to mention that The Nuke does not have a good amount of HP to survive endgame PvP, users utilizing this build should work with his team, and if the user is inexperienced, try to stay away from the front line and heal when necessary. Remember, for all Mage Builds in a Free For All Match, Healing is crucial in positioning you and your team to victory.

Mage - Dexchantress (Int>Dex or vice versa)

This special build focus on the Mage able to have access to the Archer's weapons for better range and stronger DPS plus armor. Dexchantresses are capable of dealing good damage in AoE skills, even though the Nuke does more damage. Dexchantresses are also capable of dodging at times, similar to any builds with Dexterity on it.

This build, even though with all the great perks in it, gives the Dexchantress some additional armor points to defend himself, but players utilizing this build must take note that the Dexchantress is similar to the Nuke when it comes to taking damage, so always make good use of your enhanced range to smite the mobs down.

The Dexchantress does not hit as hard as the Nuke, however most attacks coming from the Dexchantress has a higher chance to hit opponents. Like the Nuke, the Dexchantress is extremely squishy and should work together with his teammates to bring out the best in your class. Healing is, like all Mage Builds, crucial to you and your team. And don't forget that activating your Mana Shield too early or too late while in combat can prove fatal.

Mage - Paladin (Int>Str or vice versa)

Paladins sacrifice some of their attributes in Intellect and adds them in Strength. This build is useful when it comes to PvE due to the fact that Adding Strength allows Mages to access the Warrior's arsenal, which gives off great hp regeneration and Armor, along with the fact that Paladins could heal and buff and even generate a mana shield to tank some damage, this build is perfect to tank and to attack at the same time.

Even though Paladins have great versatility in terms of tanking and attack, users are reminded that the Paladin is considered a substitute tank, therefore if a Warrior is in the team, be sure to continue your job as a Mage and attack at the same time. Also note that Paladins consume more Mana Potions just like the Amazon, so be sure to stock up potions when utilizing this build.

Paladins are one of the most utilized builds in PvP due to their extreme tankiness from their Mana Shield and their Healing, however, players should know that Paladins, as much as they are tanky, could fall if the player starts up Mana Shield too early in a brawl. Also note that you won't be dealing as much damage from your AoE skills and that your attacks has a chance to miss, making this build a defensive class in PvP.

Mage - Amazon (Str>Dex or vice versa)

A rare form of Mage build, though not as rare compared to UberMage, Trickster, or Sorcerer, the Amazon is capable of tanking just as well as a Paladin, due to the fact Dexterity Adds to armor as well. Amazons have high Dodge%, and are granted access to both the Warrior and Archer's weaponry.

Do note that as an Amazon, your skills are redundant when it comes to damage and heal, and that you have to stock up on Mana Potions similar to the Paladin. Especially when generating your Mana Shield. The Amazon is a situational class to play with, able to use both melee and ranged weapons, so consider this build only if you are skilled in being a Paladin or a Dexchantress.

Up till now, I have not seen such a build that appears in PvP yet. I will update this of it's pros and cons if more info is given!

    Sub-Class Swap

If ever you think the builds would not work on you, you could always reset your stats to the preferred build of your choice to try out. However it comes at a price of 2 Platinum, so unless you are willing to spend and waste your platinum, I suggest you consider twice about that stat change because once you re-spec, you will have to pay yet again for another changing of stats.

    Conclusion

All sub-classes are great in their own aspect of playing, and that after reading this guide, I sincerely hope new players like you would understand the pros and cons of every sub-class and choose wisely. Indeed, the sub-classes are truly formidable only through practice, so I also hope players would work and cooperate with other players in a coop game.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have fun!

Nobody is going to comment something constructive? I guess making a good guide by some random name isn't possible nowadays. =/

    Agreed.

You started the thread at ~6 AM EST, and your comment came in at ~8AM EST. Two hours time when most people are getting out of bed and heading in for work/school should not discourage you so much.

nope no comment except to say nice guide. If a dex/int bear is a trickster though, I'd like to call my bear mischievous as he is 70%int 20%str and 10%dex or something like that not good with percentages. I also know that a high int bear running with a good mage = chaos and I think it's from the mages buffs getting boosted by the bears int %

I ought to check more on the Trickster and the Combat Mage as they are some of the classes I don't see others playing with.

Thanks! Since you play PvP, I also would want to hear how good/bad those sub-classes are in PvP as I had never really touched much on PvP except with a few friends.

Hybrid is half dex half int but not high enough dex req to use current level gear.Usually 112 int rest dex will do it for 35 mage

112 int is req to use voodoo and 67 is for dex ring lv20 for damage.Works out perfectly in 35 mage pvp until the op forgotten bows came and ruined things...

I think UberMage isn't really Uber.
And I think it's Warburd for WarAvian and DerpyBehr for Str>Int Bear.
Good roles and description briefing though.

Warbird is the common name but "avian" is the proper name...its just people say bird and not avian anymore lol
