there's already 2 proven ways to decrease your probability of getting an ichor. (keep in mind that "decrease" doesn't mean never)
1. be dead when the boss dies
2. enter a game that is more than half complete.

I found if you run 1000 runs instead of just one you are more likely to get an ichor

Actually there is only one proven way (it gained the matutd approval, the highest rank a theory can achieve). I'll list the steps so they are easy to follow.
1. You have to be naked while playing, THIS IS A MUST, DON'T FORGET!
2. The only alternative to number 1 is if you have lucky socks, you can wear those
3. Make a model of bigger luck in real life. You must be wearing this
4. Don't kill any monsters, let your team do all the work.
5. At the boss, you need to make a kamikaze attempt, this will not kill anybody except yourself, but you need to do it
6. Respawn at entrance and run the whole way back to the boss
7. Now put your clothes on in real life in this order: shoes, pants, coat, shirt, underpants. Make sure not to knock your depiction of bigger luck off.
8. By the time you've done this, the boss will be close to dead, leave the instance.
9. You should have got yourself an ichor

These drops clearly are not random. I have not done a single run single run since Monday and I just checked my Ichor number and it does not seem to have gone up. Not only that, but only one of my characters has ~ANY~ drops, the rest have ZERO. I only have 12 characters, so that is not a large enough statistical sample, but my research is telling me that you need to have EXACTLY 250 inventory slots. If you have more or less, then you will not get any ICHOR drops. That seems to be the only difference between the character that has the drops and the rest. I will log back in tomorrow and let you know if more appear. Maybe I will also purchase more inventory slots on my level 35 Bear to see if the Ichor's drop for him.
