NOOOOO! D: I'd buy the tablet! don't waste too much money on a game, I regret it especially if PL gets boring! I bought the 800 plat pack and I really wanna quit since the Forgotten update but I just can't cos I spent 50 dollars that my parents worked for! Also, it gets you too addicted which leads to neglecting your school work. etc.
I've bought a couple 2k plat packs IMO it's worth it. I'd say save at least 500 for new campaign in the future. As for the tablet... I just got one as an early birthday gift (my birthday is on the 25th lol), and I love it!!! Android Jelly Bean is so smooth, and awesome. Oh and one more thing don't get addicted to platinum lol

Are you getting both or do you have to choose one? If its a choice, I would personally get the tablet. If you can get both, go for it.

If you spend a lot of time in this game, yes get it and try to save some for the new campaign. Also elixers are cheaper in guildhall.
I bought the 2K plat pack when I realized I had a couple unopened 60 dollar Xbox games sitting there because I was spending my time on PL. The simple question is what is you time worth, and what do you want to spend that money on?

Here's some plat tips:
1) Only buy 2000 Plat packages -- smaller packages cost way more per plat.
2) Just because you have it, don't spend it all. Save it and spend wisely....below are some tips on how to do that....
3) No reason to spend 30-40 plat on thrashers. Just get the 7-plat crazy dumpster combo elixer. It's almost as good as thrasher at less than half the price.
4) Shamus can be good, but don't use in places with extremely low drop rates (like Fire Forest) since you will likely end up with nothing. Before they lowered the drop rate in Monster Bash, it was an excellent place to use Shamus since you would get a couple of pinks for every shamus you purchased. Also, don't use Shamus in places where the bosses do not drop purples (like Mount Fang) since without purples you cannot possibly re-roll to a pink, so Shamus is useless in those places.
5) Wait for vanity items to go on sale. At least once a week the deal of the day will be a vanity item. That is the time to get it, not when at full price. If you are trying to achieve the "True Legend" title eventually like I am, you will eventually need most of the vanity items, so wait for them to be on sale before purchasing them. For example, last week the bat pets were on sale from 250 plat down to 150 plat, so I bought them.
6) Don't feel the need to always farm on elixers. You will use up your plat fast. Instead, use it like a treat. Maybe once a day get your 7-plat crazy dumpster elixer, and make sure when on the elixer not to waste time standing around in the dungeon. Just try to be in a group with other elixer players so you can clear the dungeon fast and move onto the next one.
7) If you are trying to level up to cap, the 7-day double elixer is a great investment rather than a bunch of smaller elixers.
The cap is overrated now, with the decision to take away the Elite Vanity stats. Do you want to spend $89 to try and get to a level which only allows you to spend even more money on items that are pretty much the same as the Lvl 70 items? And get bored and frustrated with the game? Can that 89$ go to other things that might be more fun to you?
I wish i could sell my left over plat and be done with it.
