Magic shield question

Hi

Noob question here.
I have a magic shield that I can equip,but It removes my magic staff.
Can you use any magic shield and use a weapon as well?

A staff is a 2-hand weapon. You can use a bracer (mage shield) with a wand, which is a 1-hand weapon.
