Technically, if they didn't spend on big cakes, there wouldn't be any complaints if they restarted the table, I mean... if they are so good at playing, there wouldn't be anything to complain about if they restarted.

Cakes are allowed.
While we do ban the cakes from Honor PvP they have never been banned from any event, and that includes all of the past gauntlet style events.
They can be used strategically but it's not considered an exploit. I'll refrain from opining about the cakes' relative impact to gauntlet scores.
As for the contrast between cakes and elixirs - cakes (as a way to charge Ultimate Skills) are in a whole different category when compared to Fish Oil Elixirs.

I tried it last year, it made a weird thing that after you kileld all bandits and all mobs in the map, timer kept on going down and I lost

Always some pay to win loophole
Either way, after wave 100+ as a warrior you only have a maximum of 15 seconds to kill all mobs.
I highly doubt there are many warriors that can do that.

It is the typical speech so that they do not delete something that is 100% abusive in the long term for their own benefit in the future.

Cakes don’t even work, it ****s up the timer of the map…
I think it's a silly tactic but I'm not sure if it's an exploit or not. But reset on lb would be a very bad idea.
