Impossible For Me To Rush AO2 When I Have...

SO MUCH LAG! Ok but seriously...it is almost impossible for me to rush at all because my ping skyrockets to 1k-2k and usually freezes my ipod within a few seconds. I know lag is common during rushing because of the massive amounts of mobs you get grouped together, but is there anyway to reduce my lag a bit so I can at least keep my ipod from freezing while trying to rush?

If it's an older device, there may be nothing much you can do except perhaps get a better router. Beyond that, make sure other players, particularly mages, aren't needlessly using skills. Also, much of rush farming seems to be a game of learning to battle lag (this is one of many reasons I find it unbearable and tedious, and hope it is (at least nearly) impossible in AO3). You will get frozen up at times, but you have to learn how to keep moving forward and position yourself in the rush to minimize that sort of thing.

Edit: almost forgot one thing that can improve your lag situation. Make sure you have "high quality" unchecked in your game settings. If you have an older iPod, I would recommend always having it unchecked.
