Event Idea
Well, as I logged on to the holo-ween event I thought "WOO! NEW VANITIES!" I was extremely excited to start farming them. So, I did. And got them all in 2 hours of farming. This is a perennial dilemma I've seen a lot. STS makes these events, but people finish it in like 3 hours. So, why not make 'em come back for more? Here's my idea:
So say we have a 7 day event.
What if, on day one, we get, let's use Vanity X. Then, on day two, we get Vanity X AND Vanity Y. Then on day three Vanities X, Y, and Z.
They add one new vanity each day of the event, and on the day they're added, they're extremely hard to loot, then when the next vanity in the chain comes the previous one is easier to loot, but not extremely so.
I believe this would make many people come back to SL to try and collect all the vanities, and spend plat for enhancers to run these runs.

It would definitely make me less bored, and not rage log-out bc SL is sooo boring at times, lol
