Hauntlet doesn't always give coins

Sometimes I don't get coins from doing a hauntlet run - I understand that you need to finish in 3:30 and your character has to actually cross the line to get the coin.
Sometimes after someone crosses the line ahead of you and the pop up saying your time is displayed, even if you cross before 3:30 is up the coin is not given to you.

Example: in my run just then, someone cross the line at 3:01 or similar and I crossed about 10 seconds after that - no coin.

this should have been fixed..earlier in the release this was a problem 'but again? i ono...

I missed 5 coins today and haven't even ran hauntlet very much today! Getting no where fast with coin collecting... Plz find a way to give us our lost coins

You also do not get the coin if you die in the run.

Happened to me a few times yesterday as well. Crossed the line under 3:30 without dying ... no coin.

Nope. I just did 5 runs of Hauntlet, got 3 coins. One I missed because I died, the other...I dunno. I didn't get the "30 seconds left to get your bonus" message before I crossed the line, though. I think that happened once earlier too. Might be it?
