No, he put down the daily quests. What would have been better is had he put down the 2-4 quests (not including the "[insert pet name here]'s" call) needed to unlock the daily quests.

But those quests don't unlock the pet. The daily is what unlocks the pet. Making the other quests irrelevant.

In the second post, I linked to a very helpful guide, "Arcane Legends Quest Guide", which you can use to see the path of quests to get to the daily quest.
Listing each quest leading up to the daily quest would take up too much space in this thread.

I've done a bunch of those quests listed, but didn't get the pet, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. All I got from those daily quests was a gold reward.
