Can't play anymore

I play on the bus. I have about 45 minutes in which to play. I spent over 20 minutes trying to log in. Now the timing is totally hosed on my blessings. I must collect the blessings within the time I am on the bus. When logging in fails, the timing on the blessings goes into the time I am at work. Then I must miss, notmpne, but two days... or more, as I lose all of the days i did the blessings. So today i couldn't get in, tomorrow I will have no elixirs, and the day after I have to hope I can connect and not have it all messed up again.

I don't play games to be aggravated. I play games to have fun. I don't see any way to have fun when the servers screw up the timing on my blessings. I am old and I would prefer to spend as much of the time remaining in my life doing things that are fun. Running without blessings in PL is not fun. The mobs are OP. I am also sick of that.

I came here today intending to play, but I just got done with a week of vacation, and everything was so pleasant, and now, this morning, I can see why I have been so aggravated lately. It's because I expect too much. I expect Amazon to be professional and make their servers work correctly. I expect the devs at STS to get on the horn to Amazon and tell them that they can either provide better service or STS will go looking for another cloud service. I expect a game to be balanced, not for economic gain, but for playability. I expect, I guess, too much, and my aggravation is due to a clash between my expectations and reality.

So, for my peace of mind, I will give up further attempts to log in. I would have liked to play. I got over 1K plat still to spend, but I just can't wait for Amazon to decide to let me play. I have a small window of opportunity, and there is nothing else I can do.

This is the reason I have been calling for a 23 hour timer on blessings / daily elixirs. It prevents collection time creeping, and allows one to get back on schedule when they have a conflict that prevents them from collecting at their optimum time. It would also allow the developers leeway on issues like this to not cause such frustration.

Snakes, we have had some hiccups this weekend. We'll get it sorted out. We're also looking in to the blessing timing. Hope you hang in there, but totally understand if you need to move on down the trail. It has been a pleasure.

I was a casual player.

Anyway, nothing is ever final. I still have so much plat to burn that I might come around during vacations and play.

It's just that I can't play MMOs on the bus anymore. And it really is all about connectivity. It wasn't just the STS servers, it was the crappy Verizon coverage. My 4G would drop, lag me, result in toon death... 3G sometimes only has one bar, and this is while riding a bus in a fairly large city.

So it's not like it's STS' fault. I just decided that a good book on the bus (like this morning) is much less stressful than playing an MMO. My job is stressful enough! I don't need the extra anxiety that comes from playing an MMO.

So, I guess I'll see you guys next time I am on vacay! later

Dang, another friend bows out.
I don't know what it is about our buss line but it is crazy. There's like two dead spots just west of your house. I stopped trying to log in untill I'm past w. of Ceasar Chavez blv. because of those buss dc's. Odd thing is they mostly only happen in the morning I can't understand.
Sory your frustrated bro, if you can stand the derpiness the forums would still benefit from your insight time to time. Otherwise maybe just log in around Holliday events, ARG is allways open to you. Lixers don't matter too much in Holliday maps as most people are 'roided like baseball In the 90s anyhow.
In any case your intelligent I'm sure you'll do what's best for you. I might still see ya on the 15 from time to time.
