Ipad mini vs. kindle HD fire 8.9?

Which should I buy? I am stuck to no platform more then the other and like both for different reasons but I am really torn between the two!

Buy an iPad 3... Love it... Simply... Love it. Amazing speed etc. ^_^! Kindle Store can be a bit annoying... Apple is reliable XD!

Im really leaning towards the Kindle Fire HD 8.9!! Its a bigger screen and has the Dual wifi antennas (which in theory should allow for better online gaming experience) the only thing that I really dont like about the Kindle Fire is the ecosystem that they have watered down the android OS with. I would most likely have to root it and install a custom ROM such as Cyanogen Mod 10. Im just worried because I havent ever really got the chance to play with one and dont know if th ebuild quality is worth it??

Kindle is better if you're not in the mood to pay for a lot. Yes, it's good... But my friend has a Kindle Fire... No me gusta :/! iPad, para yo, es mas bueno. Por que digo en Español?! No quiero ser loco!
iPad (3, not mini) is better if you're used to iOS, know how to use it to its full potential, and willing to pay extra for that oom-pa-pa.

The Ipad 3 has the same A5 dual core as the Ipad mini just with better resolution. My main reasoning for the smaller tablet isnt price, as I can more then afford any tablet money could buy but to get a more portable device. I tend to use my device on business trips and what not so the smaller tablet is great for me. Good things do come in small packages sometimes.

I just returned my Nexus 7 I was in love with the pure vanilla Android OS but the display they used was cheap. It didnt have the corning gorilla glass and the entire reason I returned it was the screen started to get these burnt looking blemishes on it from extended use and I only had it for a month and played PL lightly during that time. I upgraded from a samsung galaxy 1st gen 7in tablet and NEVER had that problem after almost 1.5yrs so to say the least that was a BIG let down by google and Asus.

As for the price, the 7inch goes for $199 and the 8.9 with a faster processor goes for $299. (both for the 16g models) plus according to Mitch (Alwaysdtf) he is now running a steady 90 ping with the dual wifi antennas.

Damn :O do they both have dual antennas? I dont mind the 1.9inch diffrence. Just the ram on my phone isnt enough for smooth gameplay anymore lol. The fps is sketchy and im at steady 150-200 ping. Its only PL and SL it happens to. And same price as nexus 7 it seems. Afterall i dont think my phone was meant to be a gaming device. Eventhough it has a dual core processor doesnt help much with around 800mb of ram and it uses 392 on its own just running haha

Yes they both have the dual antennas :-) but i am most interested in build quality. Does it feel cheap? Do they holdup with prolonged use? Hpw hot does it get? In several reviews i have read and watched its been said the ipad mini gets extremely hot with prolonged use.... I just want a good tablet that will last a year and then ill replace it for the next best thing...lol
