Banners are a wonderful idea and AL has been immensely enjoyable. It's a bit disappointing though that with the current way banners work, players are only able to signal that they reached one elite level at a time. It would be more meaningful if banners would add "notches" every time you hit an elite level. So, for example, if you hit both 16 and 21, you'd get a banner like the current one you get for reaching level 21 BUT the banner would have two notches rather than just one to signal your two achievements. If you hit only 21 but not 16, it would have just one notch.
It was nice in PL that you could signal up to 3 elite levels you reached by wearing vanity items. In short, notches and other signia could be added to a banner so that banners become collections of achievements rather than indicative of only one achievement each. Or at least this could be the case for achievements of like kind, such as hitting elite levels.
