This guide requires you have a few companions at or near your level.
When your pet runs out of hapiness, don't spend the money to feed it. There is a much cheaper alternative. When your pet gets sad, swap to a different pet. Pets regain hapiness over time, so keep doing that then the cycle will repeat itself. Also, if you dont trust yourself with your momey(like me), put every 500 gold you get into the stash until you TRULY need it(potions).

EDIT: Also, be sure to play with your pet. It increases its hapiness!

Great tip for beginnings, how about a few more suggestions?

Like don't spend platinum for revive. Do a free revive, switch to a pet with a movement bonus like: Hazel, Frost or Deston
and you will be right back in the battle.
