I don't disagree that being aware is the answer, but the "can't trust anyone" mindset can really be a downer in a game about playing with other people especially when sometimes it is even the case that you can't trust guild members. This game has a lot of young players, who I wouldn't call stupid but inexperienced (and killer-commas can get the best of anyone...even with rigorous zero counting XD ).

Maybe it's necessary (it'd be an itty bit funny) if there was a warning on that popped up before a trade that said "Do you trust this person? Are they trying to rip you off? Is it too good to be true?" If the in-place safety nets (like trade confirmation) don't help people, it's hard to combat crafty scammers besides reporting
