Why? If a threaded is needed to be closed, the mods will handle It. Sam has much better things to do than be closing threads because someone doesn't want people posting on the public thread they created.Ask SAMHAYNE or some dev to close it for you
Use the red triangle on the bottom of a post and request it to be closed. There's no need to PM a Mod.

If its reasonable. Ive asked sam to do that at one point when a friend made "guild" and i was recruiting people on forum but that fell through
so i kindly asked sam to close the thread because guild no longer exist.
