Best places to level:
In Traveler's Outpost Watchers Tomb #4 or (w4 for short) and Hauntlet runs (located in Kraag). W4 has a lot of mobs and the hauntlet offers fast runs while granting Hauntlet Coins. Those coins can be used to buy pet eggs (which you can sell or hatch) & mana pots (so you can save gold).

EDIT: I suggest you farm stuff (eggs, gear, etc) & do daily quests for gold. Also Trialplay offers for gold too. Even a dev mentioned one time that buying gold can be expensive.
