Elite Golden Pirate Chests post Battle for Norder

So I'm curious... right now, the elite golden pirate chests have a very small probability of dropping mythic/arcane items.

I'm wondering if these chests will continue to drop these items in future expansions? Or, possibly, will the elite golden pirate chests always very very rarely drop arcane hook but not other arcane weapons.

What do you guys think? BTW, I assume we will not get a real answer to this. If we do, I'll post a picture of a giant cake that we can all pretend to share.

There will be new chest I'm sure with new name. I'm sure those will have the new items in them . The Elite golden pirates will stay the say as mentioned by the Dev's in a thread.

This was explained in one of the threads yesterday. The elite pirate chests will still drop the same gear as they do now, except most likely scaled up to level 30. Except for the mythic helms and arcane hooks which will continue to come from elite golden pirate chests and will continue to be level 26. So technically the only lvl26 items that will NOT be discontinued are the mythic and arcane items. Kind of odd when you look at it that way.

The kraken isles expansion are for rogues and the arcane hooks can be found in elite golden pirate chests. In next expansion, we're moving to nordr which is the place for warriors. Maybe when we open nordr elite chests only arcane warrior weaps can be found and so is for the sorcs in the upcoming expansions..

Imo, if you want to hunt for arcane items for rogues maybe you'll just open elite pirate chests kraken place whereas for arcane warriors you'll just open elite nordr chests, someting like that

While the arcane hooks weapon was not addressed, I can't imagine that being any different than the mythic helms.

I keep seeing people suggest that this will happen, but nowhere have I ever seen a developer say this. So my guess is no.

But if you look at the stats of the hooks, they are so OP that they very likely will still be the best weapon in the next expansion even without scaling to the next level.

I'm pretty sure they will scale if i remember reading correctly just not the mythic helms.

I recall reading before that there would be some program to upgrade the hooks. I'd have to find the post though which I don't have time for at the moment.
