Battle for Nordr Expansion Elite Loot: Distribution, Mythics, Epics and Chests
The Battle for Nordr Expansion is Live!
Nordr, the frozen north, is the homeland of the Warrior and his ancestor, the legendary hero Uller. Uller and his companions Himingleva and Vili saved Arlor from a great evil 100 years ago. After discovering the defiled tomb of Himingleva as the source of an artifact that allowed Captain Bloodhammer to wreck havoc on the Kraken Isles, attention turns toward the north and Uller’s burial tomb, deep beneath the Stronghold of Nordr.
Legend goes that Gleipnir, an ancient device created to lock out a great evil, was shattered in to three pieces and each shard was granted to one of the three heroes. That way if the doorway to the ancient evil needed to be unlocked, it had to be a decision made by the three heroes together. That time is long since past, but the power of the three shards of Gleipnir has not waned.

As with most things, the devil is in the details. Let's take a closer look at the loot to be found in the Battle for Nordr expansion.
Arcane Rarity Items:
The Maul of Ollerus Arcane Warrior Hammer can be found in Elite Gold War Chests (from Elite Battle for Nordr bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch. The Maul is a slow, powerful weapon with high base damage that augments warrior abilities for bone crunching effect. The Maul can proc a surge of lightning that can stun nearby enemies and buff the wielder.
The Arcane Rogue Weapon: Blackbeard's Nefarious Hooks still drop from Elite Gold Pirate Chests II (from Elite Kraken Isles bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.
Mythic Rarity Items:
New Mythic Armor can be found in Elite Gold War Chests (from Elite Battle for Nordr bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.
Mythic Helms still drop from Elite Gold Pirate Chests II (from Elite Kraken Isles bosses) and Locked Grand Crates of the Watch.
Battle for Nordr Elite Loot Distribution:
Each of the 5 bosses in the 5 different Elite Battle for Nordr areas has the chance to drop specific items that are not found inside chests.
- Jurn Wood's Boss: Noble Helmet
- Mount Spyr's Boss: Sorcerer Weapon - Nordr Jewel Staff
- Oltgar Keep's Boss: Warrior Weapon - Entomed Hammer
- Crystal Caverns' Boss: Rogue Weapon - Mountain's Teeth Daggers
- Hall of Valheim's Boss: Noble Armor
Elite War Chests can have the "Champions" Elite Legendary armor set. The Noble Helmet and Armor that drop from the Bosses is itemized slightly ahead of the Champions armor set. Here are some pictures of the specific weapons:

Crystal Caverns' Boss: Rogue Weapon - Mountain's Teeth Daggers
Gear obtained from Elite Battle for Nordr zones scales up to level 31.
Gear obtained from Elite Dead City and Elite Kraken Isles zones scales up to level 30.
The Elite versions of Brackenridge and Rooks' Nest will no longer scale up. Gear obtained from those areas is capped at level 25.
Epic Items
All Epic (purple) items at all level ranges have had their base statistics improved to make them a more viable option.
