weird crate drop question

Been curious to me for a while but say u r a noob just downloaded game and playing it. I remember new players get like 15-20 starter plat. What if while playing u lvl to 5 and then loot a crate...u don't know better and open it and u drop an arcane or mythic armor. Will it be a high lvl or a lvl5 item? Would u still be able to upgrade it or forever its the redheaded step child of mythic/arcane items?

Is it even possible to loot one this low or is it blocked out so this doesn't happen?

Crates are 15 platinum, while first time players will receive 7 platinum for leveling up.

The gear in Locked Crates scales to your level (except Mythic and Arcane items). If you open it at level 7 you will get level 7 gear (except for Mythic and Arcane items).

By any chance did it end at 7 platinum on level up hence 500 hp potions were 7 platinum for a good boost?
