There is no "PL history" behind it. My guess is, the person emailed STS and used his 1 name request for a name under 3 characters. Paid the 50p and used up his 1 name request, and got the name "Ed".

Well I'd imagine he doesn't like his name being thrown into every thread with you saying "Ask Apollo! He'll know!" since it kind of volunteers him to do stuff and make posts he didn't plan to prior.

Well I really dont always say that :/
And sometimes I say it out of respect, and saying good things about him. And I dont say it in EVERY thread. That was an exaggeration I believe :P
