Constant Dying

So I am rogue level 23 and I constantly die.
I'm finding it hard to even play for very long without dying.
I laughed when I read about people with zero death.

I am in watchers tomb level 1.. Die... Try again take health pots run... Die.. Get a group die... Go to kill pirate ghosts... Die... Go to hauntlet.. Die die die! >_<

Please help me if you can! Why am I dying so often, what can I do?

As a rogue focus on one mob at a time with auto attack, aimed shot and NOx, attack until died.

Using gear that has more str then dex will help
Pets with str, dodge bonus


What are your skill spec? Aoe skills get more aggro and deaths.

Imo, just get a ribbit, should help a lot and his arcane absolutely owns if you drop it right before a charged aimed shot

Personally, I prefer a 35/65 INT/DEX split (No STR). The reasoning for this is because INT provides both mana and substantial HP per attribute point (6 hp per point, I believe). The reason why INT is so beneficial is because through Crit stacking, you can make up for the lost DMG versus going full DEX.

Then I equip gear that the primary stat is DEX with secondary stats in INT. If I recall correctly, high end armor would be Red Beard's Vest of Savvy (preferred) or Shipmasters Vest of Savvy. I also like a lv21 Watchmans Ring (DEX version with 3.0 DMG), or the Cobalt Band if you can't find the Watchmans Ring (kind of rare these days). This provides a solid boost in DMG (to make up for what you specced out) and some armor. I also alternate between the very affordable Babble Bauble of Potency (for DMG) and Mystic Necklace of Will (general use) or Swirling Amulet of Potency (DMG+INT).

As far as skills go, I prefer the standard Aimed/Nox/Piercer with Medic as the fourth skill. I know many people recommend veil or razor, but medic has serviced me much better in both elite dives as well as CTF.

Finally, for pets, primarily I use Malison (best all around pet IMHO) or Wrathjaw. Loki is acceptable at times, as are other pets like Flap Jack, Horton, but Malison really is the best all around.

You need party with god tank warriors 1-2, and/or with wizzard with root clock.
And keep distance from mobs.

Nerf some of you active skill upgrades, put points in Might passive. Never stop moving unless target is a couple shots away from death, always keep track of where your HP is and keep a comfortable distance unless you're a dagger user. In that case shadow a tank or get top gear.

Just a thought, but perhaps you are dying because the enemy isn't. Try going full Dex to up your attack. You don't mention skills, but you do have 5/5 in Aim, right?

I have noxious bolt 5/5 not aimed shot.
I also have the sword multiple opponent attack.
Razor shield, the circle shadow thing and recently got the healing one because I needed it.
I switch them out sometimes

You need a maxed (5/5) Aimed Shot. About you dying a lot, your health is quite high for a lvl 23. I'm lvl 30, and I have 1.8k. Another thing that helps is if you have the heal upgrade on Shadow Piercer. Also, how many points have you put into the heal?

No 5/5 on Aimed shot ; Combat Medic in PvE ; Points in more then 4 active skills

Looks like we are honing in on why you are dying so much.
Start with 5/5 in Aimed shot.
Pick three other skills you like (NOT MEDIC, join a guild and buy 500 health pots to start)
Once you have the other three you like (which are FAR less important then Aim, so all about preference and build style) you can get advice on them here from people on which points to allocate and how to use best.
Again, focus on DEX as much as you can. Once you have the build right you will realize that points in offense go so much further on a Rogue then points in defense. Consider a simple example where you can average kill mobs in 2 shots instead of 3. That means you are only vulnerable to attack 2/3 of the time you were before, so you are only taking 2/3 the damage.

On my lvl 21 Rogue, I went full DEX on base stats with DEX gear and have 5/5 Knowlegde, Might, and Agility. The four combat skills I use are Medic, Piercer, AS, & Nox. Obviously I don't use a lot of sub skills for PvE nor PvP on that toon, mainly because I simply don't need them for that level. I usually go with Malison or a Ribbit for this build. I want to try for a Colton again tho.

With that build, you don't have to sacrific dmg for int because the passive stat helps a lot. Besides, you could always get a Nexus, Snaggle, or Konga.

Hmm, even with low health i don't really have a problem surviving and can solo most if not all of the regular maps.

I don't have a Picture of my rogue atm, it's lvl 23, but I have this for stats:
Health- 1.8k
Damage-181
Dexterity-308
Mana-1k
DPS-201
Armor-704

If you wish for PVE, do all Dexterity on your stat points and locate your skill points wisely. use plenty of Dex/Int gear for the mana and the damage. OR for twink PVP get maxed Dex/Int gear and get a shipmasters or bonechill bow, demonlord will armor, a agile ranger helm, and some nice rings and amulets that give Dex/Int with additional adding damage

go full dex. if you have a bow you shouldn't even be getting that close to enemies. stand back and spam aimed shot and nox. u should see an enemy die every time u use aimed shot.
