    Hello everyone.

    I haven't played sts games for a while, since i've been on a long holiday, no time for games.

    Now for a specific reason, i have been unable to do anything but stay in bed.

    So i decide to log onto al which i haven't played in ages, i had a lvl 16 mage capped a while ago.

    I tested many builds. My gear is pretty decent.

    The verdict is, i can beat any other mages or warriors, but...when it comes to rogues.


    Rogues are way too op. Not sure about other levels, but at 16 they take zero skill. The crit is way too high.

    There is absolutely nothing a lvl 16 mage can do vs a lvl 16 rogue in a fair 1v1 situation.

    Before one of u tells me to learn to play and practise...

    I was pretty much N1 undefeated lvl 15 operative in SL.

    And in top 10 archers in pl at endgame 66 cap.

    I know my stuff when it comes to pvp.

    So all i'm saying is, rogues are way too strong with the crit they have+bows at lvl 16.

    Devs, players, discuss please...

    I play one of each class amd i agree also not sure how other rogues are OP cause i never get kills on mine..

    Maybe it's your build. Try respecing and stacking all crit buffs, get a bow, whatever the decent gear is and u'll own.
    It was fun while it lasted.

    Hmm. L16 pvp is a perfect level, its one of the most balanced (except for mage - but mage isnt built for 1v1, mages shine in 5v5) . If you think l16 is bad check out L26 ALL crits there . L16 is one of the few levels where a warrior > rogue. Play more and youll see.

    Whats ur ign? Add Lilbless i wanna vs

    Ps, try not to stack crits...
    Pss. Were you fighting twinks or ungeared newbs? Try twinks theyre more challenging

    Yes mages have always been the 'Underpowered' class. Fixes will be made but i totally agree 100% with bless.

    Developers have posted that PvP is not meant to be 1-on-1 but instead meant to be a team game. So in order to keep things balanced between classes, since mages deal AoE damage they don't deal as much damage on each target, but an equal amount of total damage. Obviously that does not help when we are faced with a 1-on-1 battle, but STS says they cannot change that without upsetting the balance. So basically mages are never going to compete with the other classes when it comes to K/D ratio.

    The best thing you can do is to try sticking with a party and don't wander off. That is easier said than done considering we are the slowest class, so if the party chooses to move fast we can be left behind by ourselves. When I see that happening I quickly leave the game and find another game where hopefully there is better teamwork. Sometimes it can take a while to find a decent game where the team plays as a "team".

    But you will quickly realize that as a mage your success will greatly depend on your team. I've had games where I can't get a single kill and die 15 or 20 times, and I've had games where I don't die even once and get 30 kills. It can be greatly frustrating at times, but just remember that the leaderboards are divided into classes, so really we are only competing with other sorcerers for kills, flags, etc.

    Yup, come endgame. Mages dominate there if they are paired with a well-rounded team (tanks, mages for dmg & support and rogues for finishing).

    Yes sorcerers underpowered, rogues overpowered. We do pwn in 5v5 all-out-wars though (which is what I always call out for). I'm not saying to nerf Aimed Shot, just reduce the crit a little?

    This was just done, aimed shots 10% critical was redused to 5 seconds, we can only stack 2ish aimed shots now.and if we were to get another nerf to say bonus critical damage, might as well nerf mages lightning bonus on critical also

    The 10s was never meant to be there. It has always been 5s so please stop saying aimed shot been nerfed. Aimed shot was bugged and it has been fixed.

    In Twink 16 PVP it is difficult at times, each class has its own ways, though rogues vs. mages is no biggie. Mages can kill a rogue flat out pretty easily in my perspective, i play lvl 21-23 PVP on all classes. My mage can beat all classes, my rogue can beat all classes, and my warrior can beat all classes. It just depends on your Skill and the other persons skill. Some people you just cant beat, others you can, just gotta work on it.

    Yup yup, an I beleave it did say 10% for 10 seconds. Now it says 5..

    The word nerf started from ultima online. Devs redused damage of swords,
    Players started complaining it was like hitting each other with nerf bats.
    From then on if ever something gets made less worth while then it had been originally, it is considered "nerfed"
    According to urban dictionary it was nerfed.

    There just more on even ground. 1v1 much better then previously, I've seen many amazing sorc's emerging this season.
    Next season, is we're the op sorc's apear. Can't imagine say , cero, Hali or babydom with an arcane weapon.....
    Many good mages now but those 3 have always been good competition. Just examples of a couple amazing pvp sorc's.
