has mage skill charge always been this fast?

I got on my mage, I started to attack the air and charged some skills in the process.

The skill charge is much faster than rogue and before, if my memory serves correctly;
So, has charging always been this fast?

Its fast? How many times I died because I have to charge shield for 2 secs of invulnerability or because life giver sucks so bad I need to charge it to get more healing. Then I die while charging and life giver goes off after I die. So to answer your question, yes its always been this slow.

Rogue DPS must be too slow for some people.

Besides have you seen a mage's health and armor? Most of the time, a mage can't even stay alive long enough to use their "ultra" fast skills.
