this is not an arguement against GCD just a way to improve it. I guess imma have to live with it lmao. Anyway, i think the clicking in advance thing doesnt always work, so i think you should also be able to click in advance even if the spells arent past the first refresh state (solitary refreshing). This would completely make it better and maybe even lower the time just a tiny bit!
