Well here is a friendly reminder. You can always go back to the missions/quests and complete all 135 of them. Then collect them when the cap raises to gain all that exp (not only that but a ton of bonus energy so make sure you spend it on the new missions before completing each quest). That's about another 3k exp give or take that you don't have to wait for during the next cap. You can also use the monster encounters or the campaigns. Just simply leave after you kill the boss and the game will save your rewards until you click them. If you have any questions/comments to add feel free to post.
