Teokillo - I understand why you are confused. The original post was basically asking if anyone had seen the member Stompartist. The whole conversation on giving reputation points and "thanks" to other members came about because Stompartist called himself the "Thanks Fairy", as he always makes sure to give as much reputation as possible by thanking and thumbs-up-ing members and their posts.

You have to give 4 Thumbs then 5 Thanks ( or 4 Thanks then 5 Thumbs) afterwards you have to wait a day.So basically you can give rep 9 times a day - I just gave 8 Reps on this thread today lol.

Pro tip: You can thumb then thank the same post.
