Flapjack, Wrathjaw, Granite, or Malison

I'm currently a lvl 19 rogue. I have some extra platinum to spend and I'm looking for a beneficial pet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

all of those pets are in my rotation. flap jack is a great and often overlooked rogue pet.

Malison is the best out of those pets (especially if u have razor sheild and his arcane buff at the same time +40% dodge right there)

While I recommend this strategy for those who have low armor or who are new to the idea of the blender since it can take some getting used to...


I typically prefer a +DMG% pet (Loki, Flapjack, Slag, Abadon) for using the blender.

The reason is clear:


I typically don’t draw too much aggro if we’re running with a tank.
I can only spam pots so fast – so, if I pull enough aggro, I’m surely dead regardless
8 ticks of damage with RS (124 dmg minimum) x 0.15 = 18.6

So… 124 + 18.6 + 18.6 (Fight in your smoke) = 161.2 damage per tick.
161.2 x 8 = 1289.60 total damage output per MOB

Without the +15% from Flapjack or Loki, you’re looking at:
142.6 x 8 = 1140.8 total damage output per MOB.


Now… you should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be using RS on a single mob unless it’s the boss. So assuming you have an average size pull of 8 mobs. (My pulls are typically 20+) your total damage output from RS is below:
With Flap / Loki: 10,316.8
With Malison: 9126.4


My point is – only worry about defense if you have to. Your ultimate goal is to be a damage machine, put a quarter in and watch the red fly.

I like malison a lot. I feel a lot less squishy with mali than I do with talon.

In my current rotation I have

Slag
Talon
Wrath
Loki
Mali
Kettle
and I'm currently leveling a bunch of others

My rotation depends on what team members are using, but i use Kettle, Slag, McCraw(bosses only), Abaddon, Orion, Mali, Talon and Clyde. I might bust out with Koga or Nexus for fun. Not sold on Loki yet.

Mine looks like this currently:
Slag.
Feed Slag.
Slag.
Repeat.

Lmao. He's just so good!

I use flap jack (adds more damage than others, nice regens, and stuns groups) once in a while, if I don't want to feed Slag. Horton if I want to go crit happy, while having mana regen. Don't really like ribbit. I'd use wrathjaw here & there, but can't justify the cost since Slag is almost always out.

I went with flapjack and malison.
I also use Horton in the rotation as well.
