Question What Android Device do you use and what are some of the specs?

I currently do not own ANY Android device. However, I ordered one online and I am waiting for it to be shipped from Hong Kong. I should have it in a week and I doubt I will get into the beta in time. I figure everyone got picked already and no one is allowed to say anything. But I am so obsessed with PL that I spent $107 for a very cheap Android tablet just so I could play PL on it in the future. And although I am an Apple fanboy, I figured that I would learn a bit more about Android.

It is the unbranded version of the Maylong M-150 that Walgreen's sells for $129.

I've read that this can be rooted and upgraded to 2.x. We'll see. I emailed support asking what the minimum specs are for PL on Android but did not get a reply yet. Perhaps they are not releasing that until after the beta testing.

Unfortunatily I just don't see this machine running PL. I am thinking a first gen snapdragon or OMAP CPU's running at 600 or better. Android 2.0 or better(handles 3D better)

phones that'll most likely work and any phone matching those.

    any verizon Droid phone
    Galaxy S
    Nexus One

    Phones that wont work.

    any phone running 1.5/1.6
    528Mhz CPU's(first gen Android phones)
less then WVGA screen resolution(HWVGA might be supported though)

Remember this is all speculation since no info has been gathered yet on supported devices. But I imagine it will need to be a higher end device.

I have a Motorola Droid and it is rooted and overclocked, has Skype working with 3g and wifi, can use the camera on the back to video call, running Android 2.2, gps working and market fix applied. Has a higher benchmark than any stock Android phone out on the market currently.

I'm hoping STS releases min specs.

The 256MB ram is the same as the iPad. The processor sucks though but it was only $107

PL runs nice on the 2nd gen iPod touch and that is only a 532 MHz processor with 128mb ram.

I'm hoping the PL client is light to run on older Android hardware.

Milestone, Android 2.2.1 G.O.T, rooted and overclocked (1 GHz / vsel 62 - smaller vsel made my phone crashed; the game works on the stock frequency, 500 MHz).

Nice mobile phone (good hardware) but really heavy. The next one will be having a bigger screen and less weight.

I have a Droid 2, got it 2 weeks ago. I am still considering the Droid X, but I am not sure. I think I will stick with this one. I was gonna wait for the Saygus V phone, since I read about it a LONG time ago when all the specs were like unheard of but now, it's almost like an HTC phone meets iPhone, meets a fat Droid.....
