SOLUTION FOR ALL PEOPLE WITH THE GOOGLE CHROME AUTO-UPDATE PROBLEM
First, thanks to Greencrow for this thread.
It took me a while but now it works like before the update.
After installing the old Chrome Version (26.0.1410.3_chrome_installer) i had the problem that it gets instantly updated by Google Updater.
I had no old_chrome(.exe) in the folder so i decided to uninstall & reinstall my Chrome.
This is how i did it.
1) Uninstall Google Chrome & restart your computer
2) Download an
old Google Chrome standalone Version (
http://tinyurl.com/p4dnvxx)
3) Shut down your internet connection and install the Google Chrome standalone Version
4) Press [WINDOWS-KEY]+[R] and type in
msconfig -> Startup -> Disable GoogleUpdater.exe
5) Vista/7: Press [WINDOWS-KEY]+[R] again and type in
taskschd.msc -> delete all Google Chrome Tasks
5.1) XP: Go to Control Panel -> got to Schedule Task -> delete all Google Chrome Tasks
6) Where did you install Google Chrome? (Mine is in C: Programs -> Google)
6.1) Go to the
Update folder and
delete GoogleUpdate(.exe) IF you want you can do the difficult way...however,
it is not necessary (Wowsome link:
http://tinyurl.com/p3xldjf) You have to do this because the GoogleUpdate(.exe) can check for an update EVEN when you disabled it in the Startup (Point 4)!!!
6) Restart your internet connection and open Google Chrome
7) As soon as Google Chrome starts type
about: plugins in the search bar - search for "Google Update" and deactivate it
8) Open AL - you'll get the information "
Uh-oh! Chrome failed to start our game. Press this button to see the updated news on this issue!"
9) Follow the steps by STS:

http://support.spacetimestudios.com/...-google-chrome
(the first one worked for me: type
about:flags in the search bar -> activate GPU -> relaunch Chrome -> set it back on default -> relaunch Chrome)
10) Open AL again and (hopefully) be happy
