Essence drop chance should be in the same ballpark. The way essences were being dropped had to change to fix this overall issue, so there is some room for variance, but the team tuned it back to be about where they were previously.

Hey sam! I have some costructive feedback that i hope ppl can agree with. I agree that drops were super crazy! However the one thing that has changed that needs to be addressed is that i liked how chests gave essences and pinks more often. Is there anyway sts can make loot from chests just a "little" better odds while keeping the a decent drop rate from bosses? The places where i think this makes most sense is elite stages. cuz most chests are behind ememies and in elite if u try to run past mobs to open a chest before killin said mob you are more likely to die before u can open it and collect loot! Just an idea!! Thanks sts/stg!!

I really don't see why there are any complaints about the essence drops regardless if it is in the same ballpark or not. This whole game revolves around farming for drops. Yes, it may take time to create and u won't be able to use that said piece of gear during it but you are still able to run end game content without that mythic gear. This is an awesome update so just work harder for the worthwhile reward of the increased bonus to gear.

pshhh, i bought a new Cellphone Galaxy note 3, and i used my same AMEX card on the new device. and now they suspect am a conartist!

I totally agree with the insanely high drop rate of loots but you guys really shouldn't have made the drop rate of essence really that LOW. I can agree if you lessen the drop rate of essence but not this LOW guys. Drop rate of essence right now is as low as the chance of getting an arcane item. I think you should increase it a little higher compares to what we have right now.

I agree...remember, the more essence we get the more plats people will waste trying to get the+6 gem...I also think it's lame how essence eats up inv space

Epic overstatement is epic.

1 essence per 1-2 runs does not equate to the fraction of a percent that is the arcane drop rate from chests.

Before the update I averaged around 2-3 essence at brackenridge. After the update I'm averaging 1-2 every two trips at brackenridge. I usually got them from the barrels more than the mobs but I'm not getting them anymore from this it seems like :S.
