Default Which bow will you use in PvP, Devour bow or Gloom hunter?

Devour bow seems to have better stat and it proc extra dmg as well, but Gloom hunter has very useful proc ability imo.
Which one will you use in PvP? Let's narrow it down to twink level so you won't be bothered by mythic bow.

I use a Dev Bow from levels 1-20.
Gloom dosen't have good enough stats to match a Dev bows power.

At low levels I use gloom. Most of you say "why? your stats are worse." Well yes, technically it's true. But does it matter? Not really. At low levels, rogues aren't focused on their mana much, if at all, since there's mana regen pets like talon and haze. If you've ever done a 1v1 down at level 8, you will see how long it takes. At 26 it takes me 2-3 combos. At 8 I don't even know...I've cycled through about 8 sets of packs sometimes. Also, the 1.2 extra damage on devourer bow definitely isn't worth it. The proc on gloom is amazing in 1v1 and makes rogues very slow to their packs. Once, I double proc'ed a rogue and her movement was so slow she was standing in place. Then a few aimed shots and she's dead. Against warriors it's helpful too. Fire that proc and you'll be able to kite away from range of his melee attacks and spam bow shots.

In low levels, proc can also be useful in gang fights. Aim for that mage/rogue in the mob and if you get lucky with proc, they won't be able to move. That's when your whole group aims for them and takes them down in about 5 seconds.

When it comes to high levels, the damage tradeoff is bigger, and mana regen pets won't work when you maintain 4 skill combos. That extra mana benefits you a lot with devourer bow.

All in all, they're both good bows, just meant to be used differently.

    Interesting point.

Just a quick question, if I didn't remember wrong, gloom proc ability gives nearby allies crit buff, how does that make gloom better for 1v1 instead of team fight?

That's the answer I'm expecting. I used to think dev definitely better than gloom due to its extra stat. But when I found some twink rogues out there were using gloom instead, I start to question myself which bow is better besides the superficial stat they have.

Well your right it does proc a 5% crit buff every once in a while, But what makes it so devastating and worth its while is the arcane patch proc, when u manage to proc a arcane patch, In pvp (idk what it does in pve) it slows down enemy movement inside the circle nearly to a stand still, rogues cant run to there packs, warriors cant run to other warriors ,also it gives you a great opportunity to escape death from gangs, thus gloom wins 1v1/gangs, in my opinion.

I am a big booster of the Gloom Hunter. Some folks say Devourer just because it has slightly higher damage, this is more than offset by the Gloom Hunter's procs which I think put the Devourer to shame. The only thing the Devourer has over Gloom Hunter is the Mana, thats no small thing in PVP but Gloom Hunter procs the Arcane Patch frequently enough that lends a huge advantage by rooting your enemies to the ground and it doesn't have to be charged so you can spam it easily.

I have both bows (I switch between them while upgrading) and even though my Devourer is is +9 to my Gloom +6 I still prefer my Gloom.

I use Gloom hunter both in endgame and at twink for it's powerful arcane patches. Very useful in in PVE as it literally slows down the whole mob so that they can't chase after you! Definitely notice the difference
