Outrageous Ping

This is sad :-( lot of peeps are logging in then logging off because it gets so bad. My ping will be fine then bam! Everything just stops I click my avatar and see ping going crazy! I've alwaysssss had green ping! But since the update it's yellow/red ;(

Can you provide some more information, Emma?

1) Since which update? Be specific, point to link to update notes in the announcement section if possible.
2) What device are you playing on?
3) If you have access to a PC, and are not currently playing on Chrome, can you try it on Chrome, and see if you experience the same spike.

I play on an ipad / sony tablet
I will try to play on chrome but I end up running into walls because I can't get use to the controls on pc so I give up

I will say tho, it's not too bad for me like some others get, It is still playable for me. But I have deffo noticed it since winterfest

H2N it is not video rendering lag. The video is smooth and the ping spikes and I mean SPIKES to red.

I've experienced both types of lag on my tablet before and this is definitely not video lag.

AGREE, it's Def. not video rendering lag.
Especially as seen in my video, it's sitting on a MENU PAGE, and you can see the ping go from 200 to 30,000+

If many people are are experiencing same issues then something is going wrong. Better do manual ping test as I mentioned so players and dev can analyse log and find proper solution.
Asking dev: I was using ping fix in WoW - is it useful in AL too?

It's because AL is such a populated game right now, and + everyone on playing on a winter fest event will cause it to, so many people online due to the event..

I'm happy if my ping is under 300 but lately my ping has been going up and up and up! As soon as it goes above 400 it just doesn't stop. It keeps going till it hits 120k ping and then it disconnects. This is getting really annoying especially when I finally get into rifts or when fighting the boss on elites. Any solutions?
